In the 1984 edition, it was just a three-match tournament, where a final match wasn’t played. Three teams, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka played two matches each, and a winner was decided from that. So, the first player of the match in an Asia Cup final, belongs to Javed Miandad, while the latest is Mohammed Siraj in the 2023 edition.
