Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan goes wild with ‘gun celebration’, Indians respond in style

Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan was excellent in the IND vs PAK match as he went on to score a quickfire 50 on Sunday. But that wasn’t enough for the opposition to post win. But coming back to the Farhan innings, he went on hit three sixes and five fours. The highlight of the innings though was, when Farhan reached his milestone, he made a gesture with his bat, making it resemble like gun.
Sahibzada Farhan’s Celebration Irks Indians
The celebration was not liked Indian fans over social media, and of course, a controversy erupted. The Indian bowlers responded to the celebration well, and then started a comeback for the team when. At the time when the celebration came, PAK were cruising at 90-odd runs in just 10 overs. From there on, for the next 7-8 overs there were no boundaries at all.
Throughout the match, there were words exchanged between both the teams. In fact, in the second innings, when India got a rousing start, there were altercations between Abhishek Sharma-Shaheen Shah Afridi, and thereafter between Abhishek and Harif Rauf. But the convincing win answered them all.
Indian Bowlers Trigger Collapse
As far as the rest of the match is concerned, Indian bowlers bowled well overall, despite leaking a few runs initially. Jasprit Bumrah recorded his worst figures of 0/45, but then Varun Chakravarthy and Shivam Dube brought the team back into the match with 0/25, and 2/33.
Pakistan bowlers were poor. Shaheen Afridi leaked runs at 10.50, while Saim Ayub gave away 35 in his three overs. Abrar Ahmed was ordinary with his figures of 1/42 in four overs. The win now means India go top of the Super 4 points table.
