The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has shifted the upcoming Maharaja T20 Trophy 2025 from M Chinnaswamy Stadium to Mysore due to lack of approval from Bengaluru Police.

Maharaja Trophy: It is worth noting that the fourth season of Maharaja Trophy is all set to be played from 11 to 27 August.On the other hand, after this decision of KSCA, all the teams except Mysore Warriors team may face some trouble in terms of arrangements.
Maharaja Trophy: Let us tell you that the teams participating in the tournament were seen finalizing their preparations at different grounds located in Bengaluru for some time. However, after this decision of the board, they will have to shift to Mysore for training.
Maharaja Trophy: Chinnaswamy Stadium declared ‘unsafe’
It is worth noting that in June this year, after winning the IPL title after 18 years, 11 people lost their lives in a stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB’s victory celebrations, while more than 50 people were injured. After this incident, the investigation committee constituted considered the M Chinnaswamy Stadium ‘unsafe’ for any major event to be held on the ground in future.
After this decision of the committee, KSCA was instructed that large-scale cricket tournaments should now be shifted to places that are “better” to handle large crowds. Due to this, now KSCA has shifted the upcoming Maharaja Trophy from Chinnaswamy Stadium to Mysore. After this decision of the association, cricket fans present in Bangalore have got a big shock.
So, after this decision of the association, the matches of the upcoming Maharaja Trophy will be held at Wadiyar Stadium in Mysore. Also, five matches of the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup are proposed to be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, till now the ICC has not discussed with the board about shifting these matches.
